RBS is Paying Close Attention to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Posted on February 28, 2020
As the Coronavirus has continued to make news headlines and more cases of infected people are reported Canada-wide, we have carefully monitored all announcements made by the BC Centre for Disease Control. The well-being of our staff and clients has always been of utmost importance to us.
Internal procedures and policies have been developed to minimize the risk of an outbreak at RBS (Surrey and Vancouver locations). These include educating firm members on ways the virus is spread and communicating preventative measures recommended by Health Canada. As well, we ask that all RBS employees alert Management if travelling to (or returning from) affected regions with the expectation to self-quarantine for a minimum of 14 days upon return, and a request to contact the local health authority by dialing 811 should they develop any symptoms.
We will continue to provide updates as this unfolds. In the unlikely situation health officials require more aggressive measures be put in place, we are confident we are well positioned to respond effectively.
