David Hay, K.C., Spotlighted as a Transportation Cycling Leader
Posted on March 6, 2018
The Greater Vancouver region is our nation’s third-largest metropolitan district whose residents cycle for transportation. Van Bikes, a project produced by cycling enthusiast Colin Stein, focuses on individuals who have spent the bulk of their years shaping the cycling culture in Vancouver, and bike lawyer, David Hay, K.C., was featured. David’s care for the cycling community began in the mid-1990’s with his steadfast participation in Vancouver Bicycle Advisory Committee meetings engaged through the BC Cycling Coalition, whose aim was to provide a legal perspective on campaigns and social justice causes. David is also the chair of the Road Safety Law Reform Group on behalf of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, which makes recommendations to modernize the Motor Vehicle Act to better protect the safety of all road users.
