Athenry development OK’d for now

Thirty months after a public hearing, Athenry Developments’ proposal for houses, offices, shops and an Irish Cultural Centre has been approved by Langley Township council.
Richards Buell Sutton LLP partner Brenda Lightbody is quoted in the Langley Times story explaining additional changes Athenry has made to the development plan – eliminating trail along north property line and improving landscaping – to ease the change this development will bring to the neighbourhood. As Brenda also stated, the developers plan to make their own home in the development and that their interest is in the community as a whole.
