University of British Columbia Moot Court Adjudication
Posted on February 6, 2012
Richards Buell Sutton partner Alex Eged judges in UBC’s annual competitive Moot Court.
About the event from the Law UBC website:
The Faculty offers students the opportunity to take part in competitive moots during their second and third years. The benefits of mooting include intensive training in advocacy, client counselling and dispute resolution skills before judges, practitioners and academics and the opportunity to work with other students and meet law students from other universities. Positions on moot teams are highly sought-after by students, and professors participate enthusiastically as advisors, consultants and coaches. Students audition for many of these moot teams, and team members are generally selected based on performance in the oral presentation and overall law school marks.
