Honouring February’s Black History Month
Posted on February 18, 2022
In February, Canadians join in Black History Month to recognize the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. This year’s theme is: “February and Forever: Celebrating Black History today and every day,” and it focuses on honouring the daily contributions Black Canadians have made to our country since the1600s. Those who fought enslavement helped lay the foundation for Canada’s diverse and inclusive society, and in this month, we’re encouraged to learn more about the important contributions Black Canadians continue to make today.
