In support of May’s Place Hospice, we are an inaugural sponsor of the Yule Duel, one of B.C.’s largest outdoor carolling competitions taking place in Gastown. Lawyers, Nick Safarik and Nicole Mangan, will be in attendance to support this charity event hosted by The Bloom Group, originally founded as St James Community Service Society in 1961 by May Gutteridge. Dozens of local choirs will sing Christmas carols along Water Street to a panel of judges. All proceeds will benefit May’s Place, a non-profit organization to support vulnerable and marginalized people in the downtown eastside through the provision of housing, health and social services.
