Advanced Education Group Host Annual Half-Day Seminar for BC University Counsel

Our seminar is geared to University Counsel of universities in BC and provides topics of relevance and tangible takeaways from presenters. Led by Advanced Education Practice Group Leader, Aneez Devji, Sze-Mei Yeung (a speaker), Georg Reuter, Jonathan Woolley (speaker) and Sharon white K.C., a highlight was keynote speaker Michelle Casavant who presented on the topic of “Reconciliation, the University, and You”.
Michelle practices in the area of Aboriginal law, provides Indigenous perspectives to policies and programming with numerous organizations and institutions. She was a member of the legal team that conducted the Independent Assessment Process compensation hearings for residential school survivors.
